Best I've tried, having also used a Crane E-Ne bell and those $10 generic jobs. There's certainly louder available, but the tone is pleasant and effective without any harsh reverberations through the bike frame.
I don’t own one, but am a bike mechanic. I came across one of these recently on a customers bike, and for the first time I think ever regarding a bell, thought “woah, that’s actually pretty good!”
I finally got this mounted and was riding my MTB on a busy trail with two-way traffic and blind corners. The bell was doing its job until the striker and spring disappeared. I looked down and they were gone- no more bell ringing for me. I’ll try something else that I hope will be more solidly built.
Incorrect size based on the website guide! Will find a use for it on another bike because it is so good!
The Oi is a modern aesthetically pleasing bell but I thought it would sound louder. It’s not the most ideal bell if you want to give people a lot of warning you’re nearby.
